about
I wrote this song to challenge society's definition of beauty. Also to encourage everyone to embrace the idea that you are beauty, because we have been made in the image of our creator.
Outer beauty is fleeting but inner beauty is something we can have control of.
I hope this song inspires you to be the beautiful you, that you are.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Looking in the mirror,
I don't like what I see.
Magazines and media,
they all surround me.
They tell me I'm not beautiful,
I don't meet their definition of beauty.
Pre-Chorus 1:
But I just can't believe their lies,
It just don't sit right.
Something deep inside me says
Chorus 1:
I am beautiful, I am loved.
I am beautiful and loved.
Verse 2:
Looking in the mirror,
do I like what I see.
Not talking about the outside,
But what's inside of me
What's my personality like.
Do I meet the definition of true beauty?
Pre-Chorus 2:
So you can be beautiful,
That's the way you've been made.
Listen something deep inside you says..
Chorus 2:
I am beautiful, I am loved.
I am beautiful, I am loved.
I am beautiful, I am loved.
I am beautiful, and loved.
And there's nothing in this world that can take that, away from me.
Verse 3:
Looking in the mirror, this is real what I see,
Not some fake photoshopped reality.
In the 18th century, a women with curves was the definition of beauty.
Pre-Chorus 3:
So I just can't, pretend.
That I''m fine with this scam.
Something deep inside me wants you to know.
Chorus 3:
You are beautiful, you are loved.
You are beautiful, you are loved.
You are beautiful, you are loved.
You are beautiful, you are loved.
And there's nothing in this world that can take that, away from you.
Bridge:
I don't understand, why we so caught up,\
Society ever changing it's view of beauty.
Why base your happiness; wellness on their lies.
Seems that society can't make up it's own mind
But there's always something you can decide,
and that's what's on the inside.
[Spoke]
The essence of true beauty
Chorus 4:
We are beautiful, we are loved.
We are beautiful, we are loved.
We are beautiful, we are loved.
We are beautiful, we are loved.
And there's nothing in this world that can take that,
And there's nothing in this world that can take that. [oh no oh no]
and there's nothing in this world that could take that, away from us.
